It is nearly 2015, & I really must keep my website news up to date. 2014 was a strange year, but here’s a list of some of the things I did, since I last remember posting

July – Ealing Chamber Music Club all comers play in was a great success. My orchestral & vocal arrangement of ‘The Sound of Music’ was enjoyed.
Broke my arm, slipping off a rock at my brother’s in Bexhill.
Broken arm messed up plans for Dartington a bit. Could only play one armed percussion, but completed the Regent Brass version of ‘Dance of the Groovy Spirits’
Autumn – visited Regent Brass rehearsals a couple of times – heard them play both the pieces I’d written for them.
Wrote ‘Celebrate 100’ for the 100th meeting of Ealing Chamber Music Club which everyone enjoyed playing in September.
London Contemporary Orchestra played my ‘Spirited Dance’ along with 6 others from London Composers’ Forum.
Sad death of Anthea Sharma, (founder member of Ealing Chamber Music Club) so I wrote ‘Elegy’ for an orchestra of members to be performed in April 2015
New recorder orchestra at Berrymede & entire school worked on music & songs for the Christmas ‘Music for Syria’ concert, performed twice at school & with fewer children, at Michael Flanders Centre for elderly & disabled people.
December 13th – Performance of my horn 4tet ‘Calling’ written to celebrate the life of Anne Harrow.
We had a very enjoyable Christmas play in at Ealing Chamber Music Club. My ‘6 Renaissance Carols’ & Haydn’s Surprise Symphony.
Well that sums up the end of 2014 – Many things planned for 2015.
